Fourth of July Parade

For ten years we have been going to the fourth of July parade in Chatham, New Jersey. Connie and I spent four years filming parades around the United States. Parades are moving architecture. One can feel the pulse of our country by going to these parades. During the Gulf War, you could feel the pain of the Viet Nam vets who were holding on to what little glory they had. After the parade there is a family picnic where all the men drink beer and talk about computers.
