Flower study

In 1996 I started to study botanical illustration with Professor Albert List. My art school training taught me how to draw as a formal exploration of line and space. Botanical illustration is about using drawing to convey information. You draw what you know and see about a plant. Flowers are all about sex and seduction. They scream "pay attention to me; be seduced by my color and smell."
