Haycock Mountain is known for its boulder fields and caves. I used to take my dog "TV" up on the mountain for walks. I often go with Al List and his botany class. I am really good at identifying trees, so I am helpful to his students. Haycock mountain has some rare orchids and ferns that grow among the rocks. The mountain is being lumbered to make a better hunting habitat. The rare plants are being destroyed.
